1986 Boston Whaler Montauk 17 This boat has been completely refitted. She was totally stripped of all hardware engine and console included. All fiberglass imperfections were repaired and then professionally painted. New 2001 Evinrude Ficht 115 hp engine with electric trim control and 114 hours. This model engine is direct injection and is bullet proof if the recommended oil is used. Evinrude specifies TC-W4. This oil has additives that are needed. The engine on my boat has never had any other oil than TC-W4 and runs fantastically. Too bad some people try to save money or dont read directions and ruin this high tech engine. Top speed is an easy 50 mph. All Receipts and documents for the refit are available This beauty is stored in a dedicated garage and trailered to our local lakes a few times each year for day trips.
