1987 Hourston Glasscraft 23 Flybridge Cruiser 23 Hourston Glasscraft fly bridge cabin cruiser. Hourstons are famous for their handsome lines solid build and good sea manners. This particular boat is extra economical with a Volvo 130HP 4 cylinder turbo-diesel and highly efficient contra rotating Volvo 290 Duo-Prop leg with only 930 hours since new. The hull is very sound having had the transom stringers and soles replaced. This major rebuild was featured in the January 2014 issue of Pacific Yachting magazine (copy for inspection available). It was surveyed last fall. The surveyor concluded his report (e-copy available) saying This vessel appeared to be in good condition with new transom and stringers as well as very low hours on the diesel engine. It is rated well above average for its age as reflected in the valuation. He estimated its current replacement cost at $20000 as is or $90000 new. Can be viewed in Chemainus by advance arrangement.
